Stealth – The UK’s Fastest Launch Rollercoaster
Hold on tight – because nothing can prepare you for the raw, explosive power of Stealth, Thorpe Park’s iconic dragster-style rollercoaster. In just 1.8 seconds, this hydraulic launch coaster will catapult you from 0 to 80 miles per hour, faster than most supercars.
With the force of two Formula 1 engines, Stealth isn’t just a ride – it’s a lightning-fast blast of adrenaline. Place your head back, keep your eyes forward, grip the restraints, and brace for launch. This is speed redefined.

Stealth Ride Overview
Here’s why Stealth remains one of the ultimate UK coasters:
- Top Speed – 80 mph: Go from 0–80 in 1.8 seconds.
- Height – 62.5m (205ft): Touch the sky before plunging back to earth.
- Ride Type – Hydraulic Launch: A drag race-inspired launch system.
- Fastrack Available: Skip the queue and go full throttle faster.
- Height Restriction – 1.4m minimum.
- Maximum torso restriction – 51 inches.
This is not a gradual climb. Stealth throws you straight into action with one of the fastest accelerations in Europe.
The Stealth Experience
The launch is just the beginning. Once you’re hurtled into the sky, the coaster track reaches an incredible 62.5 metres, offering riders a breathtaking view across Thorpe Park. For one unforgettable moment, as you crest the top hat element, you’ll feel weightless – soaring like a bird before gravity takes over.
At the summit, negative g-force kicks in, giving a floating sensation unlike anything else. Then, in an instant, you’re plummeting back down, racing towards the ground before hitting another airtime hill that leaves your stomach behind.
Finally, the powerful magnetic brakes slow you down just enough for you to catch your breath, pulse racing, with one thought on your mind: “Let’s go again.”
Did you know? When it opened in 2006, Stealth was the fastest and tallest launch coaster in all of Europe.
