Storm Surge – Spin Into the Sky

Get ready for a whirlpool of fun on Storm Surge, Thorpe Park’s sky-high spinning water ride. Climb aboard a giant inflatable life raft with your friends or family and prepare for a 64ft spiraling descent.

As the raft twists and turns on its way down, you’ll feel completely out of control — splashing, spinning, and spiralling all the way to the bottom. Whether you’re racing your friends to see who screams loudest or simply enjoying the view from the top.

Storm Surge Ride Overview

  • Minimum Height: 1.1m (riders between 1.1m–1.2m must ride with an adult aged 16+)
  • Group Requirement: Rafts must carry 4, 5, or 6 riders

Accessibility Information

Non-Ambulant & Wheelchair Access

  • Riders must have full upper body strength, including head and neck control, and must be able to brace against the ride’s spinning forces.
  • Due to evacuation procedures, this ride is not suitable for non-ambulant riders.

Guests with Limb Differences

  • For safety reasons and evacuation procedures, riders must have 4 full limbs to board Storm Surge.

Evacuation

  • In the event of an evacuation, riders must be able to:
    • Pull themselves up and out of the raft.
    • Walk up or down a steep ramp, which includes navigating a large step.
